The Maserati Khamsin 4.9 was designed by the legendary Marcello Gandini, who sadly passed away recently. Known for his work at Bertone, Gandini was responsible for iconic designs such as the Lamborghini Miura, Lancia Stratos, Alfa Romeo Montreal, Bugatti EB110, and De Tomaso Pantera. Only 428 examples of the Khamsin were produced during the era when Maserati was owned by Citroën.

This particular example was originally delivered in the United States and comes with full documentation. Notably, it was previously owned by Marc Sonnery, chairman of the Khamsin Registry and editor at Octane. Every detail has been meticulously recorded— from invoices to appearances and photographs in the acclaimed book Maserati – The Citroën Years.

I have proudly owned this car for the past eight years. It was repainted in 2018, and the engine received a full rebuild in 2024. The interior remains entirely original and features a beautiful patina.
